How do you explain products this complicated to five different industries?
Acumen sells some of the most complicated products in financial services to five industries that each use them differently. We rebuilt the brand and the site so every visitor lands in their own industry, in plain language, and leaves with a reason to call.
Acumen sells non-qualified executive benefit plans, SERPs, institutionally priced insurance and charitable donation accounts. The products are genuinely complicated, and they work differently depending on who is buying. A credit union CFO looking at balance sheet capacity, a hospital system trying to hold onto its leadership team and a university foundation weighing a charitable structure are three different conversations. The old site put all of it in one pile and left the visitor to sort out which parts applied to them.
We set the positioning first, then let the name follow it: Acumen Financial Advantage, chosen to carry the weight of the combined business rather than to describe a product line. The site was then built around the two things a visitor needs answered at once: what industry am I in, and what am I trying to solve. Credit unions, banks, healthcare, education and nonprofits each get their own route in, and the offering is organized under three outcomes rather than product names: financial capacity, leadership continuity, community value.
Depth is layered rather than dumped. Each area opens with a plain explanation and expands into the detail a serious buyer wants, the three main types of SERPs, retention plans, tax mitigation, so nobody has to read past what they came for. The site’s job is to teach enough to earn trust and then ask for a conversation, not to close on the page. Acumen now advises more than 100 credit unions nationwide.
